Painting Tips

  1. Preparation

    1. Sand all surfaces to be painted

    2. Scrape away loose paint

    3. Wallpaper removal

    4. Fill any holes in wall and trim with caulking and plaster filler

    5. Let filler dry thoroughly and sand smooth

    1. Only for specific uses

  • Smoke damage

  • Water stain

  • Bare wood

  •   Latex over oil

  •  Want a fast drying first coat

    1. Clean latex paint with soap and water

    2. Oil based paints with varsol/ paint thinner

    3. Clean all tools well so they can be used again
